About

We craft software that turns ambitious ideas into products people trust.

a³ is an engineering-driven studio that treats every project like its own product. We go deep into your market, your users and your constraints before writing a single line. The result: software that doesn't just look sharp — it performs.

From first wireframe to production infrastructure, one senior team owns the whole journey.

What we build

Everything required to ship a serious product — under one roof.

One senior team across the whole stack, so nothing falls through the gaps between design, engineering and infrastructure.

  • Web platforms & apps

Marketing sites, dashboards and full SaaS platforms — fast, accessible and architected to scale from first user to serious load.

  • Mobile applications

Native-feeling iOS and Android experiences — smooth, offline-ready and engineered for the long maintenance horizon, not just launch day.

  • Enterprise systems

The back-end systems, APIs and integrations that quietly run an organisation — dependable, observable and secure by design.

  • Automation & transformation

Custom software and automation that replaces manual process with leverage — modernising how a business actually operates.

  • AI integration

Agents, copilots and intelligent pipelines that put real models to work — inside your product and across the operations behind it.

Process

How a project moves from first call to live.

A small, senior team and short feedback loops. You always know exactly what we're building, why, and what's next.

  • 01. Meeting

One honest conversation about what you're building, the deadline that really matters and the budget it needs to fit inside — no commitment either way.

  • 02. Research

We study your users, competitors and constraints, then hand back a written scope broken into phases so nothing you're paying for is left ambiguous.

  • 03. Design

Clickable prototypes you can feel, not flat mockups. We shape the experience together until the detail is right — before a line of production code.

  • 04. Development

Built in focused increments by senior engineers, with a live preview at every step. No grand reveals, no surprises — just steady, visible progress.

  • 05. Client portal preview

From day one you have a portal to track progress, review deliverables, approve quotes and request changes — the whole project, live and in one place.

  • 06. Launch

We handle deployment, app stores and infrastructure. It ships stable, monitored and documented — with a support window to catch anything real users surface.

  • 07. Continuous improvements

Launch is the beginning. Security, uptime and a steady flow of improvements — quietly handled for as long as you're with us.

Why

A partner you can trust. High standards. Reliable delivery.

As software becomes the foundation of every business, the difference between a product that endures and one that breaks is engineering discipline. Everything below is how we protect it.

  • Senior engineers only

Your product is built by people who've shipped before — never handed down to juniors learning on your budget.

  • Small by design

A deliberately small team means short feedback loops and nothing lost between people. You talk to the people building it.

  • No outsourcing

Every line is written in-house. No subcontractors, no offshore hand-offs, no mystery about who's accountable.

  • Long-term partnerships

Coming on board isn't a hand-off — it's a relationship. The same team stays with you long after launch.

  • Built to last

We engineer for the maintenance horizon: observable, documented and secure, so the product keeps working years from now.

  • Quality over speed

We move fast where it's safe and slow where it matters. Nothing ships that we wouldn't want our name on.

FAQ

Questions we get asked before every project.

How do projects usually start?

A short scoping call, then a written proposal.

We start with one honest conversation — what you're trying to build, where the deadline really sits, and the rough budget it needs to fit inside. No commitment on either side until that's clear.

A few days later you get a written scope back, broken into phases and deliverables, so nothing about what you're paying for is left ambiguous.

How long does a project take?

Most builds land between four and ten weeks.

Three things move a delivery date more than anything else: how wide the scope is, how many systems we have to integrate with, and how many review cycles you want along the way.

Milestones are agreed up front, and you see working builds throughout — never a single big reveal at the end that's the first time you've touched it.

Do you build MVPs?

Yes — a sharp first version, engineered to grow.

We're comfortable shipping a focused MVP to get you in front of real users fast, scoped down to the few things that actually prove the idea.

The difference is we don't build a throwaway. The foundation is sound, so the MVP that works becomes the product you scale — not a rebuild waiting to happen.

Can you modernise existing software?

Yes — audits and handovers are common.

Plenty of our work is inheriting a project mid-flight: reading through what exists, and reporting back plainly on what's worth keeping and what isn't.

Where the foundation is sound, we build on it. Where it isn't, you get a clear, costed case for why replacing it is cheaper than fighting it for another year.

Do you work internationally?

Yes — we work with teams across time zones.

Our clients span several countries, and we're set up to work remotely without friction — clear written scope, live previews and a portal that keeps everyone on the same page whatever the time zone.

Where overlap matters we agree core hours up front, so reviews and decisions never stall waiting for a reply.

Do you provide maintenance after launch?

Yes — a support window, then optional retainers.

Every launch includes a support period to catch anything that only surfaces once real users arrive. Fixes in that window are on us.

Beyond that, ongoing work runs on a monthly retainer sized to whatever the product actually needs — scaled up when you're moving fast, down when you're steady.
